    I found a lot of issues with Windows Defender with latest antivirus definitions . I got the message "you are up to date" last time in virus definitions on my windows on 17 feb my last update.

    • 1. Malware detection rates are lower and slower than other AV programs.
    • 2. Parental controls are limited to the Microsoft Edge browser.
    • 3. The initial user interface is somewhat clunky and not easy to navigate.
    • 4. PC system health report is basic no performance boosting or additional system cleanup based on definitions is there.
    • 5.There’s no cross-platform support except enterprise users.
    • 6. Windows defender becomes bkank and crashes when we click on protection history .
    • 7. Sometimes restricts us from removing a malicious or some other programs from exceptions.
    • 8. Protected folder access restricted me to restore system image when my windows crashed earlier i had added some folders in protected folders from drive c which I don't require at that time but want to secure it tightly.
    • 9.Its not having additional tools which third-party antiviruses have, like a VPN, password manager , dark web monitoring, or identity theft protection
    • 10 . This performes better in terms of known malware and malicious programs that's the thing i liked the most and i know that microsoft will keep working to make it better than anything and it will achieve its target soon , and my suggestions would help in accomplishing that task .

    virus and threat protection

    Virus and threat protection has stopped and will not restart, Windows 10 ver 1709, antimalware client ver 4.12.16299.15 . SuperAntiSpyware installed.

    I have tried most of the suggestions from the support pages, all have been ineffective. Any suggestions

    Virus and Threat Protection Issue

    When looking to run a virus scan on my computer, I'm met with an error that says "Virus and Threat Protection is Managed by your Organization." THis is a personal laptop though. Any suggestions?

    NOTICE: After, installing 1909 update, Windows Defender, Virus and Threat protection, is / was "OFF". IS this common? Is this a bug? NO MESSAGE appeared in my Notification Area.. ONLY, by chance, did I notice, and turn it back on. I'd suggest.. AT
    ALL TIMES.. 'WHENEVER' MY virus protection is turned off.. BY DEFAULT... I 'SHOULD' BE NOTIFIED! YOUR thoughts on this?
