Windows 10: Virus fragment keeps bringing up dialog window

So I was a little bit of an idiot and downloaded an email virus. When I opened the file, it created a virtual disk drive D:\ and when I saw that I immediately deleted it and ran Windows virus protection and it found some stuff and fixed it. So then I thought the problem was over, but a little while later I was treated to this pop up:If I close the pop up, it comes back in about 30 minutes. I'm assuming this is part of the virus that was trying to run the files on the virtual disk D:\ that I already got rid of. I've run multiple antimalware software Windows defender, Malwarebytes, Microsoft Sa

Macrium right click image>Restore brings up create image dialog

I have more machines than I have licences, so I have Free on few of them, all machines are on the current v7.3.5854. My Free version also brings up the restore dialog the first time I tried.

Note that when you choose to restore an image when right-clicking on it, then first Macrium opens as normal at the Backup tab, then the restore window pops up on top of that as a second window. It's this second step that seems to be failing for you.


Reinstalling is a very good suggestion. All your settings and backup definitions will be retained.

The above issue might occur due to corrupt files, folders, or bad sectors or if programs running in the background is accessing the hard drive on the computer.



Close all the program that is currently running on the computer and optimize the drive to check if the issue is resolved.



To close the programs currently running on the computer, follow the steps below:

  Right click on the taskbar and select
  Task Manager from the context menu.
  
• 
  Click on the program and select
  End task on the window.
  
• 
  Close after all the programs are closed and run disk fragment to check if the changes are effective.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
