    Hi. My Virus & Threat Protection disappeared in Windows Security. Please help me to bring it back.I have done the following:- Deleted all accounts- I don't have any other antivirus application- I have done the reg delete commands in Command Prompt- I have done the instructions for Local Group Policy this somehow worked, but when I restarted my laptop the 2nd time, Virus & Threat Protection disappeared again- I deleted Windows Defender records in RegistryI tried doing everything again. But it doesn't work. Please help me. I am using Windows 11 Home.

    virus and threat protection

    Virus and threat protection has stopped and will not restart, Windows 10 ver 1709, antimalware client ver 4.12.16299.15 . SuperAntiSpyware installed.

    I have tried most of the suggestions from the support pages, all have been ineffective. Any suggestions

    Hi Nikhar,

    Thank you so much for replying. I followed your steps but this hasn't solved the problem - still no virus and threat protection. The registry value was 3, and I changed it to 2 as you suggested. Should I change it back?

    Any other suggestions?

    NOTICE: After, installing 1909 update, Windows Defender, Virus and Threat protection, is / was "OFF". IS this common? Is this a bug? NO MESSAGE appeared in my Notification Area.. ONLY, by chance, did I notice, and turn it back on. I'd suggest.. AT
    ALL TIMES.. 'WHENEVER' MY virus protection is turned off.. BY DEFAULT... I 'SHOULD' BE NOTIFIED! YOUR thoughts on this?
