    Virus & threat protection is managed by your organization


    My daughter's computer has a malware. When I go to turn on Windows Defender it says, "Your Virus & threat protection is managed by your organization." It's not, and some research indicated it was a conflict with a malware phony security thing. When I click on "Manage providers" there aren't any additional providers. It just says, "Windows DefenderAnivirus is turned off" and nothing happens when I click it to turn it on. It also says "No providers" under Web protection. So after more research, I uninstalled the "ByteFence" app, but noticed when I restarted that the "PCAccelerate" thing popped up. I went to uninstall it, but I can't find it anywhere.

    Your Virus & threat protection is managed by our organization.

    Hello,

    Open Group Policy snap-in by running gpedit.msc command.

    Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Defender Security Center > Virus and threat protection.

    Set 'Hide the Virus and threat protection area' setting to Not Configured.

    Hi,

    I'm facing issue with windows security in windows 10. In virus & threat protection showing that your Virus & threat protection is managed by our organization. pls help how to clear it. I tried with registry Editor but after the reboot again same issue.

    I just updated my Windows with April update and my defender Antivirus is showing "Your Virus & threat protection is managed by your organization" instead of the usual scanning options.

    I want my defender with scanning options, how do I do it.
