  1. Virus?

So I believe I have a virus or some kind of malicious software on my PC that's limiting my usage. I noticed this yesterday when I wasn't able to start up Discord or Skype, thought nothing much at first, then tried to reinstall it and still had the same issue, Tried opening windows defender and for some reason it closed almost instantly. I was kind of worried, After a few restarts of my pc I kept getting this error message where it said LEDKeeper.exe kept failing to open along with multiple other ones that just kept on flooding my screen. Put my computer into safe mode with networking and tried to first let windows analyze the issue and fixed it but it failed then I tried to reset it while keeping my files that also failed and finally tried to reset my whole PC and that failed so now I'm stuck and don't really know what to do. I would prefer to reinstall a fresh set of windows on my pc and just start new. I talked to some of my colleagues as I work in a store with a tech department and they said I would have to buy a whole new SSD to fix this issue, is that true? Any advice on what I should do would be very much appreciated.

    :)

  3. knctr virus

    Follow the steps here.

    https://malwaretips.com/blogs/knctr-virus-removal/

If it is not listed in the Control Panel, or it can't be removed there, move on to step 2. You might be able to skip the step with HitmanPro. (30 day free trial if needed)

    Clean the Virus

    Hi,

Virus infection usually happens on a computer when it is exposed to an infected website or removable devices. For us to help you clean the malware on your device, we would need you to answer the following questions:

    • Which build and version of Windows are you using?
    • Did you encounter any error messages related to having a virus infection on your device?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest running any available antivirus software on your PC. It would be very helpful to us if you could also provide the result of the antivirus scan process.

    Looking forward to your response.
