Windows 10: Visual Artifacting when trying to open Roblox

Hi, I'm getting this heavy visual artifacting whenever I try to launch Roblox. I've reinstalled it, done the app settings repair and reset, but it's still there. The Roblox website looks fine, and I can open Roblox Studio without a problem. It's just the player. Is there anything I can do, or should I accept my fate and just not play on this device lol? I have Windows 11 Pro, Lattitude 5550 laptop

Roblox not launching when opening a game

Let's try uninstalling Roblox again, please follow all steps to properly eliminate all traces of Roblox.

1. Go to the Control Panel on your computer.

2. Click on "Programs" or "Programs and Features."

3. Locate "Roblox" in the list of installed programs.

4. Right-click on Roblox and select "Uninstall" or "Remove."

After uninstalling, navigate to the following folders and delete any remaining Roblox files:

C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Roblox

C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\LocalLow\Roblox

C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\Roblox

5. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.

6. Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

7. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and delete the "Roblox" folder.

8. Similarly, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software and delete the "Roblox" folder.

9. Restart your computer to allow all the changes to take effect. Then, try reinstalling Roblox once again.

When reinstalling Roblox, try installing the Microsoft Store version.

 

Roblox links won't open with Microsoft Roblox

It seems like your system is still associating the Roblox player's app with the links instead of the Microsoft Roblox app. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

1- Reset the default app settings: Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Default apps > Reset to default. This will reset the default app settings for all file types and protocols, including Roblox links. After doing this, try opening the Roblox link again and see if it opens with the Microsoft Roblox app.

2- Set the default app for Roblox links: Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Default apps > Choose default apps by protocol. Look for "Roblox-player" in the list and click on it. Then select "Microsoft Roblox" as the default app for this protocol.

3- Uninstall both apps and reinstall Microsoft Roblox: Uninstall both the Roblox player's app and the Microsoft Roblox app. Then download and reinstall the Microsoft Roblox app from the Microsoft Store. After doing this, try opening the Roblox link again and see if it opens with the Microsoft Roblox app.

3. Disable Fullscreen optimizations: Fullscreen optimizations can sometimes cause games to freeze. To disable Fullscreen optimizations for Roblox, follow these steps:

• Right-click on the Roblox shortcut on your desktop.
  
• Select “Properties”.
  
• Click on the “Compatibility” tab.
  
• Check the box next to “Disable Fullscreen optimizations”.
  
• Click “Apply” and then “OK”.
