  1. Visual C++ runtime has a bad entry that will not allow me to install a good version

The MS visual C++ runtime listed under settings, apps, shows a 2015 version that was installed in July of 2019. I don't know how or why but the underlying file is not there. When an new app attempts to install a C++ runtime it fails. When I try to modify or uninstall the runtime showing in settings, it shows an error message that the package is not found.

I have updated to the latest version of windows 10 and that has not helped.

I am considering trying to find and delete the registry key for this item. However, I really don't have the knowledge to do this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    :)
