Windows 10: Visual C++ "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that...

I recently went to install a game I found and it started the Visual C++ installation as a part of the process. And in the middle of the installation a window pops up that says "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.". and it prompts me to insert a CD to continue which I obviously do not have. I have had this issue now for over a year and have yet to find anything close to a solution. I am on a DELL laptop using integrated graphics, with an i7-4500U. If anyone has a fix to this I would greatly appreciate it as it has been a very big roadb

Microsoft Visual 2017 C++ msi wont install.

Cd Rom / Dvd Writer

Hi,

I have both Samsung CD ROM & LG DVD Writer(Both are internal). Since some days CD ROM is getting opened and trying to get closed all by its own.

I removed the power cord of CD ROM & again connected. This time it is not showing both the drives. It is showing only 1 drive and if i right click on that drive and select eject, both the drives are getting opened.

Is it anything related to virus? Do i need to install OS once again.

Pls Suggest
