Windows 10: visual c++

I notice on my PC that Microsoft Visual C++ xxxx appears 8 or 10 times. I see the same with Net.Frame ?. A few years ago wasn't Microsoft trying to encourage developers [and themselves] to make software backwardly compatible to eliminate the accumulation of multiple versions? That was back when disk storage was more precious than gold.

I know that GigaBytes and TerraBytes and HumongaBytes and GigantiBytes of storage is way cheaper than it was back in the days of the 286 and 386 PCs - anybody around remember THAT far back?

Does that mean that clean and well organized programming with an eye to efficient use of space is not a worthy objective anymore?

It has been a bunch of years since I last programmed but since then I have seen some truly incredible and clever programming that leads me to believe that a "one-size fits all master" file could handle all this accumulation of multiple versions -- and remove the temptation for less than geeky types of user to commit "hard disk suicide". Just the musings of an old man. Thanks.

Microsoft Visual 2017 C++ msi wont install.

microsoft visual c++ 2005 x86 won't install

To check follow the steps:

• Type Default programs & select programs & features.
• Check if Microsoft visual c++ 2005 x86
  is installed.

If yes suggest you to uninstall & reinstall Microsoft visual c++ 2005 x86
& check if the issue persists.
