  1. Visual micro lag or stutter caused by audio speaker configuration set to "stereo" CS2 and COD

For years I've been experiencing stutter on two high end PCs with different monitors and peripherals. I tried everything you could possibly do and I guess I'm not the only person having this issue as many gamers complain about windows or the two mentioned games as they are facing lags or stutter in short durations. Hence, they are unplayable and not fun at all. When audio is configured as stereo CS2 and COD can't work properly with the audio signal expecting 7.1 Input instead. So data can't be processed in the right way consuming more of the PC's ressources. In all gunfights you can barely sho

Speakers configuration keeps reverting to stereo

    Hi there,

I have encountered a problem with Windows 10 Version 1809.

When I click on "Configure" on Windows Sound, the speakers configuration will revert to stereo even after I have selected 5.1 speakers or 7.1 speakers.

The issue also causes the sample rate to revert to a lower setting.

For example if I have selected 24bit 96kHz on an audio device, clicking on "Configure" will cause the sample rate to revert to 24bit 48kHz.

When I click on "Configure" and click on "Cancel", the speakers' configuration reverts to stereo.

This is happening on other audio devices as well.

This is a video I took with the onboard audio device:

AMD Radeon r4 display driver causing micro-stuttering and mouse lag in Dell Inspiron 3541

Ever since the last Windows update (Novembe 2019), my computer has been experiencing micro-stuttering. This is primarily visual (not in audio). It makes typing, scrolling, and especially watching any kind of video or game-playing frustrating.

I discovered it was the AMD Radeon display driver, as every time I uninstall the device, the lag immediately disappears. I have tried reinstalling the driver through the AMD website. I have used a DDU as well before reinstalling it. I did a trial run of
linux to ensure that I wasn't having a hardware problem.

This is basically making my computer unusable.

    Any suggestions?

Only stereo channel available in Speaker setup

Hi, I've updated to windows 10 1803 version. I'm using a dell inspiron 5558 laptop with the latest updated realtek audio driver. I'm unable to find any audio channels other than stereo when going through the following steps. Sound-> Playback-> configure.

The quadraphonic, 5.1 and 7.1 channels aren't available in it. Also using the pre-installed dell audio manager, going through the following steps( Dell Audio-> Speaker/Headphone-> Speaker Setup) only stereo is set by default and there is no other channel
configuration available. I've a 4.1 channel system with a 3.5 mm jack but on connecting that too the channel options aren't displayed.

The bios and all drivers are updated to the latest version.

Can anyone help me figure out what is the cause of the problem?
