Windows 10: Visual Studio HTML editor does not always respond to mouse events and sometimes crashes...

I have been assigned to fix several bugs in an old ASP.NET Web Form project running in Visual Studio 2022. Since I started on Oct 1st, I have noticed several consistent issues with the Visual Studio HTML editor.It has several annoyances that our IT department can't resolve. They had me run the Visual Studio Repair tool a few times already, but that does not fix anything.* If I click to open an ASPX page from one of the files in the solution, it opens as a blank page. I can use the tab pages up top to select another tab and then go back, and the ASPX page code shows fine. I just have to tab to

Windows 10 - How do I set Visual Studio Code as my default HTML editor?

Right click the HTML file

Click Properties

Click the General tab

Click Change

Scroll through the list then choose Visual Studio Code

Well, in the end, nobody responded on the suggested forums, but I was able to solve the issue.

I was able to solve the crash by uninstalling the Windows CRT SDK and the Windows 8 SDK using the Visual Studio Installer.

 

Issue with Microsoft Touch Mouse in Visual Studios 2019

Hello, I've been using the Microsoft Touch Mouse and I've had a problem with it not scrolling when visual studio is the focus window. It works fine scrolling if the window is not the primary focus window, but as soon as I click into Visual Studios it stops
responding to scroll events. I've been driving myself crazy trying to find a fix for this issue, and have finally decided this is probably the place to ask.
