Windows 10: VIZIO S3820w Soundbar stopped working after Windows 10 October update

I know this latest update caused all kinds of issues (documented sound issues too) but I couldn't find this one yet: I've been using my VIZIO S3820w soundbar via Bluetooth for years without an issue, but after the Windows 10 October update it stopped working. It now only works when connected by a wire. In device manager there is a yellow exclamation mark next to the VIZIO S3820w Stereo driver. I already updated the Realtek High Definition Audio driver as suggested by another post here. I also tried to uninstall as well as update the VIZIO S3820s driver. No luck. It shows a driver date of 9/14/2018, version 10.0.17763.1. Any ideas how to fix this?

Windows 10 Bluetooth to LG Soundbar not working

Windows 10 PC will no longer connect to my LG Soundbar via bluetooth. They pair okay, but the LG speaker does not show up in the list of available speaker output devices.

I have tried removing the LG bluetooth device and then reconnecting to it, but it made no difference.

Other audio source devices, eg, ipod, connect, and work correctly with the LG soundbar via Bluetooth.

Has something changed in Windows that is now stopping this connection working? It stopped working about 3 months ago I think.

Vizio soundbars are much loved over at AVS. I know they usually sell out at Target on a regular basis.
