Discus and support VLC player freezing at times during playback on dvds and mutes at times when playing music in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; when i watched a dvd, half way through it, it paused then resumed, i thought it was my dvd but didn't freeze then resume when i tried my media player...     when i watched a dvd, half way through it, it paused then resumed, i thought it was my dvd but didn't freeze then resume when i tried my media player classic, it played no problem with that, also when i listen to music on vlc player, it mutes the sound then resumes and keeps doing that when am not using my pc just to let my music play, so i gave up on vlc player and started using groove player and have no problems for playing music on that and i use media player classic to play my dvds and i get no problems with that, is there not some kind of codec or something i need to solve the vlc issue?, i downloaded x264 master and ffdshow but i don't know which one is relevent to solve the problem, i am using windows 10

    Trying to convert a concert DVD to MP3 with VLC not working

    I have a Jimmy Buffett concert DVD that plays great (video) with VLC music player. I'm trying to convert the files to MP3 so I can burn a CD and play it in my car. I've read the directions so many times I almost have them memorized, and I've watched VLC's video on YouTube, but after doing the conversion and playing the music back on VLC, it sounds like it's double-time, the playback is twice the speed of the recording-almost gibberish.

    I wonder if there's a setting to control that-or if I changed some setting w/o realizing it to cause that. I'm open to ideas or suggestions. TIA

    Trying to convert a concert DVD to MP3 with VLC not working

    I have just tried converting a DVD to an mp3 using VLC by following the instruction here...

    How to Extract Audio from a DVD using VLC Media Player

    ...the audio plays back perfectly whatever media player I use, including VLC and Groove Music.

    VLC player freezing at times during playback on dvds and mutes at times when playing music

    Playing CD's or DVD's on an Acer Aspire E15 with Windows 10

    Downloaded the VLC media player ok. Inserted the DVD into PC drive and selected VLC media player from drop down list. DVD started to play but stopped after about 10 secs. Re-tried several times with same results. Any suggestions ?
