Windows 10: vmbus.sys is missing or corrupted

Discus and support vmbus.sys is missing or corrupted in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; Does anyone know what could've caused this?     Does anyone know what could've caused this?

    The person helping me figure out how to fix this issue seems to know how to fix it, but has no clue what caused it.

    Programs not working

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    Hi,

    One of the reasons why your applications is missing due to a corrupted system files. Have you tried running SFC
    scan? If not, we suggest that you run SFC scan to check and fix any system files that has been corrupted. To do so, please follow these steps:


    • Run
      Command Prompt as Administrator.

    • Type
      sfc /scannow
      and hit
      Enter.

    Let us know how it goes.
