    Hello All,
    Is it possible to virtualise the current pc running windows 10 64 on GPT UEFI using Vmware Center Standalone converter and then boot successfully from the resulting vmware virtual machine.

    I ask because i tried and the VM fails and restarts?

    (I know now that in hyper v we need to boot through DVD drive first to edit EFI partition to be able to boot from Windows 10 UEFI as per tutorial by Kari)

    Is there something similar to edit for VMware VM as it seems the default vm created from physical to virtual using vmware standalone converter is not able to boot successfully?

    I extended my tests.

    1st Setup: Windows 10, GE, 64 bit, no patches, not registered. Guest on ESXI 5.5 server with VMware workstation 10> FAIL

    2nd Setup: Windows 10 GE 64 bit latest patches, not registered. Guest onVMware workstation 11> FAIL

    3rd Setup: Windows 10 En 64 bit latest patches, registed. Guest on Visual Box > OK

    4th setup: Windows 10 EN 64 bit, latest patches, registed. Dell latitude > OK

    Conclusion: Is there an issue with Windows 10 guest OS and VMware?

    Could you confirm this?
