Windows 10: VMWare Workstation 11 is now on the street

Does the VMWare website offer any insight?

P.S. The name is now VMWare Workstation Player.

 

Win 10 upgrade is now being blocked due to "Get Windows 10" Fails due to VMWare SVGA 3D driver

Win 10 upgrade is now being blocked due to "Get Windows 10" Fails due to VMWare SVGA 3D driver on my Win 7 PRO VM's and my Win 8.1 VM's.

Initially it was a warning, but sometime later changed to FATAL error blocking Win 10 upgrade.

downloading now -- will try it during the weekend (while others are out practising Rugby Scrummages in Supermarkets again on is it this time "manic Saturday" or something like that !!!!).

I get a FREE upgrade from Work.

Note save any VM's first before using and also image your system so you can revert back if it doesn't work properly.

Version 11 seems to run a little faster opening VM and everything works in Windows 8.1.1. In Windows 10, Bridged Network still not working, only NAT.

 

Must be the VMWare side as bridged networking works running 10 in Virtualbox.

Bridged is working fine (mind you I'm running VMWARE WKS 11 on a LINUX Host).

None of the GUESTS have any connection problems (other than the Port 445 thing for connecting TO W10 from OS's previous to W8 - just block that port and connections work fine --I think something in the SMB protocol has changed with W10).

W10 doesn't have any issues connecting TO those older Os's it's the OTHER way around.
