Windows 10: Voice Access crashes and closes automatically, shortly after starting

Hello!Suddenly voice access is no longer working. It opens and then closes itself immediately.I see others are having a similar issue. Could this have to do with recent microsoft updates? It was working fine months ago!When will Microsoft make an update to fix this issue?Has anyone out there been able to resolve this problem? I can use 'speech recognition', but it is not as good. Also, the microphone is not the problem.Something is causing Voice Access to crash as soon as it opens. This is a recent thing.Thanks!

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

Create an Alias for Voice Access

Hello,

I’ve recently started using Voice Access and I find it useful. Can users create an alias for it?

According to Microsoft Support Topics, Voice access command list - Microsoft Support, the only way to activate and manage Voice Access is by calling “Voice Access”.

I’d like to create an alias to call “Voice Access” as either “Cortana” or “Copilot”. Is this possible?
