Windows 10: Voice Recognition Stops Recognizing "Correct" Command when Dictating in Word

I am repeatedly having an issue across multiple PCs and microphones when trying to dictate text into Microsfot Word with Windows Voice Recognition.WVR will sometimes stop recognizing the "Correct" command, and instead recognizes it as text to be dictated. When this happens, it will also stop recognizing the "Delete" command.This doesn't happen consistently, but when it is, there is no way to get it to switch back to recognizing commands.

Windows 10 Speech Recognition wont recognise commands such as 'correct word' 'delete word' 'select word' etc

I have recently started using speech recognition in Windows 10, in word 2016. I have done the voice training tutorials and the dictation of words is reasonably good, however when the speech recognition makes a mistake it will not recognise the commands
'correct word' 'delete word' 'select word' etc. to be able to change or correct the words. It says 'this command is not available now' on the command button. Sometimes it enters the command in the text as if dictated e.g. 'delete available'

Also, is it possible to change the double spacing after a full stop?

Voice commands to format dictated text in Word?

Okay, but the issue is not about Word - it is about the commands available for Windows 10 dictation. What commands are available to format text? Are there any commands that exist that are not present on this
list? If that list contains every possible command, then where would I submit a feature request to include formatting commands in the next reworking of Windows dictation? Again - the dictation software is the problem, not Word. It seems like you are really
interested in shunting my problem elsewhere instead of saying "I don't know the answer"!

 

voice recognition - switch Command mode to dictate

hi,

I'm trying WIN10 voice recognition which is working OK, except I cannot find how to switch from DICTATE mode in an input field to command mode.

So when an input field is active - my voice is dictated into that field.

How do I switch from dictate mode so my that by APP commands are not entered as dictation?

The win10 VR help page shows the how to dictate and how to issue commands. But not how to switch between modes. What am I missing?

eg. Dictate my name to an input field; Then voice command to click the submit button.

The Command ' Click SUBMIT'' is input to the name input.
