Windows 10: Voice Recorder App not working even with access to my documents folder?

My voice recorder is saying to allow access to my documents folder before I can record but my voice recorder already has access to my documents and I am still getting the same error message. I have tried to reset the app. Please advise.

I just tried to use the voice recorder and I'm having the same issue, blank screen with the message in red letters, no links, steps or any kind of info in how to provide the access to my documents folder to the voice recorder.

"Before you can record, we need access to your Documents Folder"

Voice recording will not open

I opened Voice Recorder Aug 1, 2022 and made a recording. I saved it. It is in my Documents folder. I need to open this folder and listen to recording. When I try to open it I am sent to tab detailing 'recording steps', which lists all keystrokes made on laptop. What happened to the voice recording??? It asks me what app to open it in. I did not make recording in an app. What do I have to do to listen to the recording. And I need to be able to email it to someone.
