Windows 10: Void Elite Surround microphone distortion

Hello.

I bought a Void Elite Surround 7.1 USB headset, and the microphone was distorted, almost as if the microphone was in the ear part of the headset, instead of the microphone. I fiddled around with it, trying to fix it, before sending it back and getting a new one. I have the same problem, and I've tried everything I could find online. Please help.
