Windows 10: Volume/Brightness slider pop-up not showing up while gaming?

The volume and brightness slider pop-up both work on normal applications, but whenever i boot up a game, i can see the brightness or volume changing but the pop-up never shows up.I've already done a clean install of Windows 11 and the same problem persists.

The volume slider does not show in all games when playing full screen (it may show in borderless full screen Windowed mode though ? ).

I believe the game engine would have a part in this as it's inconsistent.

I find the slider shows most often in older games that are not using a resolution that is native to the wide screen 16:9 aspect ratio of

my monitor will display the volume slider, even if I force wide screen in my graphics control panel.

- Games running full wide screen resolutions do not show the slider in most cases, but there are some exceptions.

- I don't think there is any way to force the slider to show in the games it is not visible in (it would still be there. behind the game,

but cannot be forced to show 'on top' ).

[EDIT: The volume slider pop up has nothing to do with your graphics drivers. New, old or in-between. ]

Windows 11 volume and brightness sliders not working

I recently updated to Windows 11, the control panel on the bottom that controls the volume, brightness and internet etc. opens but none of the buttons are responsive. My physical buttons for volume and brightness works fine. When I click the sliders, the pop up closes out. This is really inconvenient, how can I fix it?

 

Volume and brightness sliders are visibility gone

In windows 11 version KB5029263, it seems the brightness and volume slider bars disappear. Why? I mean, I can see the brightness slider in settings, and the little volume icon on the taskbar, and yes, while the brightness and volume does change, the popup sliders that I usually see at the center bottom, are just gone. Why is this? I'd like to be able to see them without having to revert to the previous version of KB5028948 every time. Is there a way to even fix something so, bizarre?
