Windows 10: Volume button constantly being lowered when I try increase it. Laptop, Windows 10

Hello,I have been facing this problem for the past month. I would increase the volume/speakers on my laptop, it immediately slides back to zero/mute. I can use my laptop without volume, but it bothers me now and then. I have tried updating my audio driver, deleting my audio driver Realtek High Definition Audio SST and reinstalling it multiple times. Occasionally, it would seem fixed when the volume stays at the same level, but it doesn't take long before it lowers back to zero. I am not sure how this occurred in the first place. Audio Volume constantly lowering - Windows 10

As stated in the title, the volume on my Dell Inspiron laptop is in a constant state of lowering. I run on windows 10, my audio drivers are up to date,

and my function keys are disabled. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, and changing over to windows' default audio drivers with no luck. I'm able to increase the volume, but it lowers back down to zero as soon as I let go of the volume
button.

Besides the obvious irritation of not being able to get audio out of my laptop, I also have the volume slider stuck in the top left of my screen. It never goes away. I primarily use my laptop for video editing, so you can imagine it's frustrating to have
no audio, and have a portion of the screen permanently obscured. I've been searching for a week and have yet to find a working solution to my problem. I'm beginning to suspect a hardware issue, but i'm hoping someone out there knows what's going on so that
I don't have to get it repaired.

Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

1. What is the make and model of the computer?

2. Did you make any changes in the audio settings of the laptop?

I suggest you to increase the volume of the levels of the speaker\headphone and then check if it helps.

Follow the below steps for the same.

1. Type Control Panel in the Search bar and then
Enter.

2. Click on the Sound and then Playback tab.

3. Right click on the Speakers and then Properties.

4. Click on the levels tab and then increase the volume of the levels and then apply and OK.
