Windows 10: volume control keeps disappearing from win 10 taskbar

guys,


why does this happen all the time? here is what I have:


=> continuous connecting of the JLAB earbuds to the win 10 BT feature in the settings.

=> a 3rd party software called BOOM3D.

=> Realtek speakers, built in to the LT.


for some reason, when I switch between these 3 regarding what is connected, and when, and what is used as an output audio device, randomly the volume control will disappear from the taskbar. this is seriously annoying.


and I just noticed today that my input/output device name was changed in the ""audio"" section of the ""settings"" under ""notifications"", in the actual SETTINGS of the win 10 OS.


can any of you guys explain this? I would guess that this non-patternized behavior is part of Windows's wonderful OS platform. I apologize for saying, but windows has never had a great reputation for being reliable. anyone got any advice on how I can recognize when this anomaly happens and how to stop it? anyone got any steps 1 - 'x' that I can rely on here?

Taskbar volume control gone after Windows 10 update

Windows 10 did an update on 10/05/2016. The volume control on the taskbar disappeared. How can the volume control be restored to the taskbar?

This issue might occur if there is change in volume icon settings.

To assist you better, please provide us the information below:

• Have you checked the issue with other user accounts?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to turn off and then turn on volume icon. Check if it helps.

Method 1: I recommend you to try to turn on the system icon for volume by following below steps.

1. Click on Search bar.

2. Type "Turn system icons on and off" without the quotes and click on it.

3. Turn off and then try to turn on the volume icon
from the list.

If the issue still persist, refer to the method below.

Method 2: Try to update the audio driver in the Device Manager and check if it helps.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on Enter Key.

3. Expand Audio inputs and outputs.

4. Right click on the driver and click on Update Driver Software.

Hello

Try turning the volume icon on and off in the Taskbar and see if this resets it.

Go to Settings > Personalisation > Taskbar and scroll down to the Notification area where you can "Select which icons appear on the taskbar". Then toggle the Volume setting.
