Volume decrease key is acting as another key in some programs

I have an HP laptop with Windows 10 and recently my volume decrease key, which shares the same spot as the f7 key, has been acting as the c key in multiple programs like Roblox, Half Life 2, and portal two. I tried to check the mapping of the keys but with Roblox all of the keys are preset and you can't change them. The other two though do allow you to map keys though and by changing certain keys to just c, not the decrease volume button, both c and the decrease volume keys would do that action. This only started fairly recently as far as I can tell and I have no idea what could be causing it.

    :)

  2. Keyboard Volume Keys not working while in-game

I happen to have used the Tt Challenger Pro keyboard in the past, and the volume keys worked flawlessly in every game, so it's indeed a weird problem. I would suggest the same thing sneekypeet suggested, using the keyboard software and assign this function to a hotkey, but you said that didn't work either, so yeah...

  3. Volume increases and decreases by itself while listening to music on Lumia 520

I purchased Noika Lumia 520 7 days ago. Whenever I listen to music the volume increases and decreases by itself and volume keys don't work at that time. I am facing this problem for last two days. Volume suddenly increases or decreases by itself. Please
    suggest solutions.

Volume decrease key is acting as another key in some programs

Certain programs make my computer act as if certain keys are pressed down

    Hello,

Recently, I've been having a very strange issue: while running certain programs, my computer suddenly begins to act as if certain keys on my keyboard are being pressed. In the beginning, it acted as though the CTRL key was pressed (ex: pressing "w" executes
the "CTRL + w" command). Now, it acts as though my "c" and "v" keys are being pressed (when typing, a string of cs and vs are rapidly typed across the screen). Opening the onscreen keyboard confirms that my computer thinks that the keys are being pressed.
Only restarting my pc temporarily fixes the issue. Here's what I've done to try to remedy it:

    • press both CTRL keys for 15 seconds
    • turn off sticky keys, toggle keys, and filter keys
    • switch out my keyboard
    • plug my keyboard into a different usb port
    • uninstall and reinstall my keyboard drivers
    • hold CTRL + Shift for 15 seconds
    • reinstall windows
    • run system file checker
    • enter safe mode
    • uninstall and reinstall all of my usb drivers
    • check for malware

The problem with the CTRL key happened no matter what program I was using, but the problems with the c and v keys have only started while playing a game. Any help in fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
