Windows 10: Volume is very loud for less than a second and then goes back to the volume its supposed to...

So, sometimes, after long periods of not playing any sort of audio, when I attempt to play audio again through my earphones, the volume will start very loud and then in less than a second, it'll be back to normal. I would like this problem to be resolved.

LOUD alarm volume!

those steps seem more like WM5 (which i had and could set the alarm volume separately), but in WM6, the path is: Start --> Organizer --> Alarms. here, you can select the Tone, but can't adjust the volume. i incorrectly stated in my prev post that i couldn't
adjsut my ring tone volume. i can and have.



any ideas on how to adjust the alarm volume? it's quite loud by default.

 

Volume Unreasonably Loud

My volume is way too loud.

I have to have my volume between 0 and 10, out of the possible 100. anything else is way to loud. I'm using regular headphones with no gain, so it's not getting amplified there. I have to set all my different audio sources artificially low in volume mixer so that I can use the windows volume control at anything more than 10. Is there some sort of global volume scale I can use?

Ok, I'll wait for next update and if solution will not come I will probably follow your advice.

I also found out some additional info:

1) The problem doesn't appear when the headphones are used (however, volume settings don't take
any effect on actual ringtone volume — in headphones actual volume is constant).
2) The lower the volume settings, the longer the loud part continues. For example, on 1/30 the loud part goes on about 2 seconds, on 12/30 — just some tenths of a second, on 14/30 and more there is no loudness step at all.
