Windows 10: Volume / Media Control panel won't disappear

Hi!I'm having issues with my volume/media control panel which won't disappear once any form of media is playing. This includes both Spotify and Youtube which are the primary media applications I use. If I adjust the volume without any media being played or paused in the background, the volume panel will pop up as usual, and then disappear after a few seconds as normal. The issue persists even if you run the application in the background, for example, a Youtube video paused in a browser this applies to both Edge and Chrome will still force the control panel to be visible even if you're in a c

The issue with volume control could have happened due to the corrupted or outdated driver. To resolve your issue, we suggest that you follow the 2 methods below:

Method 1: Run the Audio Troubleshooter on the system.



Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. We would suggest you run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio



Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key+X, select Control panel.
• Change the view as an option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the playing Audio troubleshooter

Method 2. Uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.

Follow the steps to update the audio drivers:

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Sound, Video and game controllers.
• Right-click on the Sound card and click on Uninstall.
• Install the latest audio driver from the manufacturer website.

Step 4: Create Control Panel shortcut on desktop.

• Right-click on desktop, click New, and then click Shortcut.
• In Type the location of the item box, type the following path.

• In the Type a name for this shortcut box, type Control Panel, and click Finish button. You can now double-click on the Control Panel icon on the desktop to quickly launch the same.

Step 5: Pin Control Panel to Start or taskbar.

  When you see search results, right-click on Control Panel entry and then click Pin to Start to pin it to the Start menu or screen.
  

Note: Clicking Pin to taskbar will pin the Control Panel to taskbar.
