  1. Volume Mixer settings stopped saving after adding a new user to the computer

I decided to change my Windows / Microsoft account to a new one. I made a second account, added it to Windows, and copied the contents of my old User folder to my new one.

This caused problems with some applications which were remedied easily enough by having the apps point to the new user directory instead of the old one.

However, when logged in as the new user, none of my Volume Mixer settings will stay saved. I'm not 100% sure, but I think when I went back to the original user, Mixer settings were able to be saved. The new user couldn't save them at all.

Stupid as I am, I thought upgrading the new user to Admin and deleting the original user would fix the problem, but it didn't. So now my old account is gone and my Mixer settings still won't save. Any thoughts?

    Volume Mixer won't save settings

    Hi,

    Looking for some suggestions.

The volume mixer won't save settings, at least for system sounds. I'm trying to have it saved lower so it doesn't startle me when I get a new Skype message. Anyway, I keep setting it and it just reverts back as soon as I close the window. Is there some registry
thing I can check? I've had a couple of problems after a reinstallation of the operating system following a warranty repair. I can do some investigating if you give me some instructions. I appreciate it.

Volume Mixer won't save audio settings

    Hello,

I've struggled for the past hour trying to figure out how to make it so my volume mixer will save my settings for a game. I have looked at countless youtube videos and posts and nothing seems to be working. When i go into the volume mixer the audio is set
to low so I move it up to max. After loading into the game the audio becomes muffled, when I went back to the volume mixer I found it back in its original position. I use Windows 10 on my computer and hope to get this problem resolved soon.
