Windows 10: Volume Problem with Acer Nitro 5

For some reason my laptop won't recognize or connect with it's built in speaker or mic.. My Bluetooth is off and no other decive is connected.

I connected a headset thinking it would help but it's not recognizing the mic and i still can't hear any audio. I decided to restart my laptop, deleting all programs but my files. The problem is there..


When I click on the audio icon which has a small red x on it on the bottom right lf the screen, it's asking me "Which of these devices do you want to troubleshoot?" I click the "Speakers- RealtekR Audio" option which is thr current default device.


I click next, asking me to turn off sound effects and enhancements. I click "Yes, Open Audio Enhancement". It scans.


Now, it's asking me to increase audio device volume and to open volume mixer. I open volume mixer but a small, white window opens and says "No audio device is installed"..


I exit, click next, and the troubleshooting is complete.


The problems that are found are:

- Audio Service not Responding not fixed

- Low audio device volume not fixed


I exit and decide to open the volume mixer from the "start search tab"


I click the "Sound Mixer Options".


Here, the Mastern Volume is all the way to 0. I try sliding up or increasing the volume but it won't let me. It's not letting me adjust the volume at all.


I click "Reset" on the same page to hopefully restore the default setting but it didn't do anything...


I searched up "Volume" in tbe search tab again and clicked "Adjust Volume"


Here, it's taking a while to load, i only see the blue window with the "gear" symbol in the middle and that's about it.. I don't know what to do..


I already "reset" my computer, I tried using my headset BEFORE resetting the computer. I don't know what it could be the problem... Please help

Realtek Audio Console on Acer Nitro 5

Hello all. I recently noticed that my Acer Nitro 5 was no longer detecting any headset devices and I am unable to get any input via the mic (and have also borrowed other headsets from the original one I had, all of which have the single 3.5mm jack which
works with the Acer Nitro 5's single audio input). I am also only getting this when I pull up the Realtek Audio Console:



What steps should I take to resolve this issue?

Hi TN. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

Go into BIOS/UEFI Setup to see if you can set the onboard chip to default. You can power on while pressing the Acer F1 or ESC key. Older models may use F2. This may be listed on the BIOS splash screen.

If you don't get a display for the BIOS even, then I'd reinstall the Nvidia card and properly disable it in BIOS setup before removing it this time.

Black Screen on Acer Nitro 5

Hello, I have been using my new acer nitro 5 and I just got a problem on it. I updated my computer, then I signed in and there was a black screen with my cursor. After a little bit, it showed the tool bar and my background but not my apps. If I put my
cursor over the toolbar, there is just a loading symbol and it never stops loading. Please I really want help so I can use my computer again.
