System Restore is not working because of Volume Shadow Copy service

Hi, whenever I try to create a new restore point, I get this error:

There was an unexpected error in the property page:

The Volume Shadow Copy service used by System Restore is not working. For more information view the event log. (0x81000202)

I use Windows 10 Pro (21H2). All windows updates are installed.

I don't have "Volume Shadow Copy" in the list of services, I only have "Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider" service (it is running). Also, I don't have the "Multimedia Audio Services", it is supposed to be required for "Volume Shadow Copy". Sound is working on my PC.

What I tried:

I don't have any antivirus or backup software installed.

In the event viewer I noticed these 3 error messages related to the "Volume Shadow Copy" service :

1. Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine CoCreateInstance. hr = 0x80070424,

The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

I've a list of errors in Event Viewer than I'm trying to deal with one-by-one.

This one is Event 8194, VSS

I've scoured the web (which I normally do before posting here) and every site refers to Windows servers. As I'm using Windows 10, their steps/directions don't match my OS and I'm left dumbfounded.

If this is a 'server' item, why am I having to deal with it on Win10?

And what in the world is it telling me here?
