Windows 10: Volume Spazzing out up-down and mute on Windows 10 Samsung laptop.

Hello. I have Windows 10 Home. My Samsung laptop is model NP900X5L-K02US.

Since March, 2019 approximately I have this issue where the volume randomly goes up and down or randomly mutes and un-mutes in an erratic manner. I have reset my PC to factory settings, uninstalled and installed audio drivers, and some other troubleshooting. The only way to stop it is by pressing volume up or down key. Sometimes that trick doesn't even work. I was able to deal with it before since it would only happen a few times a day, now it happens ever 2 minutes or less.


Does anyone have any insights about drivers, regedit, or similar hardware/software problem?

Volume Mixer not showing muted app

The application was muted on Windows 10 with November update. Now I am using Anniversary update, on build 14393.10

The initial step did not help make Banished show up in the Volume Mixer, nor did the article.

Volume Mixer not showing muted app

I do not have an audio problem in the context of "Audio is not playing". The problem is in the fact that Volume Mixer will not show a muted app. This issue has been around since Windows 7.

If you mute an application, it will not show up in Volume Mixer next time you start it. Is there any way I could find the settings for muted applications and change those to 'unmuted'?
