Windows 10: Volume Unreasonably Loud

My volume is way too loud.

I have to have my volume between 0 and 10, out of the possible 100. anything else is way to loud. I'm using regular headphones with no gain, so it's not getting amplified there. I have to set all my different audio sources artificially low in volume mixer so that I can use the windows volume control at anything more than 10. Is there some sort of global volume scale I can use?

X3-02 wake up alarm too loud!

Wake up alarm is too loud, I
want to change it, is there such option
in the menu?

I searched but could not find it from the menu. Sound is unreasonably
loud.

Is there perhaps some other Nokia
software that fits this model
and has alarm volume changes?

 

In-call volume on Omnia 7 not loud enough

I own an omnia 7 and would like to share my experiences.

Firstly, even with the Diagnostic code tweaks the improvement is very subjective. Personally I find it too low in an open environment where there is traffic, in contrast to my iPod volume which is fine. Secondly, you are actually increasing the Speaker
volume so when you open a Game the volume in that is unreasonably loud, meaning you put the volume down.

The headset volume is another issue. Interestingly, on phones without the NoDo update, the tweaks do actually work - the music is loud enough to hear outside. However, when you install the latest update, the volume becomes lower even with the same Diagnostic
input. Strange huh.

The notification sounds become way too high anyway. When you are listening to audio and get an email/text notification sound, it sounds like a bomb going off - in contrast to the rather weak volume of the actual music.

This is very annoying. Of all the things that can be wrong with a phone, the volume is not one to be tolerated. What's more frustrating is that MS have no acknowledged this despite how prevalent the issue is checking from online search results

 

Open Volume mixer, playing devices (translated roughly from spanish), select your output device and if there is any ENHANCEMENTS tab, make sure Equalization is disabled.

Why is that a problem my volume control, is normally in the range of 10-20 out of 100.
Some sources are a lot lower level thus the extra margin to turn it up is useful.

You may have to fiddle about in the Enhancements Tab, start with no enhancements.
