Windows 10: Vpn help please

To sum this up, I need someone to help me set up my VPN for Xbox Live. A**holes keep nailing my ip with botnets.
I have the VPN already, and I've read tutorials and even called Xbox, Microsoft, etc, but for some reason they seem too dumb to know what it even is.

Anyone here willing to help me through teamviewer or something?

VPN WM6 Help Please

i'm having similar issues, not quite the same, but the same in that the VPN stack just doesn't do anything when it should, can't find any answers anywhere...

 

VPN WM6 Help Please

I have seen a few posts that mirror some of the problems I've been having but no answers. I have previously got VPN working with WM5 but by the looks of it nothing has been messing with the OS as far as WM6 but I just can't get it right.



I have a TYTN II but that shouldn't matter.I have a modem configed for my usual connections and andother for my work modems as wel as a working VPN config. I know the VPN config is working because if I connect wirelessly and go to connections and edit VPN
cons then try and connect to VPN, everything works, a bubble box appears to say it's connecting and when that dissapears I get to my work stuff in an instant.



I know about the exceptions button but that doesn't appear to be the problem. When I make everything the exeption it dials my work "modem" and then doesn'd dial the VPN. So I disconnect and do everything manually by going back to the connections applet and
connecting to my work "modem" and I get a bubble box to say it's connecting which is fine, then I go to VPN and try and connect and I get nothing. No bubble box nothing and so it doesn't work.



If connect via the normal "modem" and remove all exceptions I can connect via VPN and I get the usual bubble box but as soon as I try and do anything on the VPN it appears that the phone decides that I am trying to connect to the Internet and so drops the
VPN. If I put exceptions in then doing the same causes the phone to try and dial the work modem whilst the normal modem is hooked up and fails.



I have tried to remove the work modem and tried the whole thing again and nothing happens again. It all seems catch 22.



Despite all of this my WM5 device worked without any exceptions and by me using the normal modem and work VPN and everything worked fine.



Why is it so unintuitive



Any help would be appriciated.

 

Wouldn't it be simpler to request a new IP from your ISP?

 

I did. My ISP is absolutely retarded. The guy who answered my call was foreign and actually sat there and argued with me for about 5 minutes saying that it's not possible. lol. They're a joke.

 

Keep trying, they can't refuse you if you're not getting a decent service, explain to them that their unsecured networks are causing 3rd parties to compromise your system and that a new IP is necessary, ask if you can speak to management or someone who knows what they are talking about.
