Windows 10: VSS error in event viewer

helllo , i got this vss error everytime when i restart my system , i tried dism restore and sfc/scannow

Event viewer VSS Error

Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error querying for the IVssWriterCallback interface. hr = 0x80070005, Access is denied. This is often caused by incorrect security settings in either the writer or requestor process.”

I just had a chance to look in EventViewer at Applications. I see the following:



In Event Viewer, the VSS Errors always appear right after one or more Information entries for SDSSnapshotProcess.



Now, most of the time, after SDSSnapshotProcess ,the immediately following entry for VSS is simply an Information entry that

“The VSS service is shutting down due to idle timeout.”



However, some of the time, the VSS entry is the Error message that

“Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error querying for the IVssWriterCallback interface. hr = 0x80070005, Access is denied. . This is often caused by incorrect security settings in either the writer or requestor process.”



So, there is some connection with the entries for SDSSnapshotProcess. Those entries for SDSSnapshotProcess say only the following:



The description for Event ID 278 from source SDSSnapshotProcess cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.



If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.



The following information was included with the event:



The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

Error in Event Viewer

As you have mentioned, you have performed a repair installation on the computer and you see Event 508, 510 and 533 in Event Viewer.



I would like to inform that if you see any critical error in Event Viewer, please share the event logs with us to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please follow the steps mentioned below to share the event logs:

1. Press Windows + X from the keyboard, select
   Event Viewer.
   
2. Expand Windows Logs from the left pane and select
   Applications.
   
3. Click Filter Current Log from extreme right pane. Then in the new windows check the box beside
   Error and click OK.
   
4. Now, look for a critical Error in the list and note down the message/information from the
   General Tab in the lower section.

vss errors

Thanks but the error code 0x8100203 reports to start VSS. That's what led me to the event viewer. VSS is trying to start but I get the error code which I found in the event viewer

IVssSnapshotProvider::IsVolumeSupported() failed with 0x8000ffff [hr = 0x8000ffff, Catastrophic failure].

I cannot figure out why this has occurred. It was running fine a month ago. I am using win10 and AOMEI as backup software which is still running fine. I can back up with it and restore hard drive.
I need help in trying to resolve "catastrophic error" . I spent a day on web but could find nothing that helped.
