    VSS / NFTS Event ID 98 causing massive lag spikes every 20 minutes


    Hello all. I'm running Windows 10 Version 10.0.19043 Build 19043, and I've been hitting some massive lag spikes. They're most notable when playing games, such as Cyberpunk 2077. These lag spikes can be upwards of 1 full second, and I believe they were causing my last motherboard/CPU setup to BSOD. Setup is: x570 MPG Gaming Edge WifiRyzen 9 3950xRTX 3090 FoundersSabrent Rocket 1TB NVMe PCI4 with heatsinkTemps are all fine. Drivers are up to date. BIOS are up to date. Windows updates are kept up. The only evidence leftover from the lag spike is in the event viewer, and here's the output: Volum

    Random Lag Spikes With Event Viewer Error

    My PC gives a few lag spikes every now and then but I didnt see nay problem with that until I found that Whenever I lag I get his message in event Viewer.

    The description for Event ID 263 from source Win32k cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

    If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

    The following information was included with the event:

    The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file

    Windows 10 lag spikes/freezes with event errors

    Here we are sir, she does seem to be running a bit more smooth buuuut alas upon sign in today we had a massive lag spike.
