Windows 10 virtualization on/off grayed out but VTX on in BIOS

I had a VM with Win 7 running fine until mother board failed on HP Z640 Base Model Workstation running Windows 10 - mother board was not soft rebooting so HP replaced mother board then reboot worked fine. I updated BIOS and turned on virtualization (VTX
is enabled) in BIOS. Hard rebooted many times, verified enabled in BIOS many times. Still grayed out. Also followed suggested cmd prompt (as administrator) and ran cmd line: bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto which responded "successful" - again, hard
reboots did not help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
