W10 does not reconnect to wired network after restart

I'm not sure that it was after an update but it might have been. I have a wired network connecting to a NAS and another PC. I am finding that when I boot up, the network connection has not been restored properly, so that I cannot see the NAS and the other PC in Explorer and I therefore cannot access my files, but the Internet is connected perfectly. With a bit of research I have found that the following procedure fixes the problem:a/ In Explorer, Rt-click Network, select 'disconnect network drive' and follow procedure throughb/ In Explorer, Rt-click Network, select 'map network drive' and f

Network bridge suddenly stopped working in windows 10

    Hi Shantanu,

To isolate your concern, we would like to know how your network bridge is connected? Is it a wireless connection or a wired connection?

In the meantime, we suggest that you set up your network bridge to refresh the adapter and reconnect the other devices. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • Add Incoming Connections from the Internet.
    • Bridge the two network connections that you want to use.
    • Forget the internal network connection (under
      Manage Known Networks).
    • Reconnect to your bridge network.
    • Restart your computer and check if your concern persists.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

  4. W10 does not reconnect to wired network after restart

Hosted Network, start and restart, other computers not reconnecting

    Hi Farzad,

An outdated driver or misconfigured settings is one of the reasons why this issue occurs. Let's troubleshoot this by running the Network Troubleshooter. This troubleshooter can help us to identify the cause of the issue and fix it at the same time.

    To run the troubleshooter:

    • First, in the search box on the taskbar, type Network troubleshooter.
    • Then, select Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
    • Lastly, follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the issue.

If the issue still persist, we suggest the following:

Download and run the easy fix solution:
Find and fix problems with wireless and other network adapters.

Run these troubleshooters: Connecting to a Network troubleshooter and HomeGroup troubleshooter.

    To do this:

    • Click Start, type and select Control Panel.
    • In the search box, type and select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View all.
    • Run the troubleshooter.

    Turn on network discovery.

    • Click Start, type and select Control Panel.
    • Select Network and Internet, then click Network and Sharing Center.
    • Click Change advanced and sharing settings, then select Private.
    • Make sure Turn on network discover and Turn on automatic setup of network connected devices are selected.
    • Select Save changes.

    Update the network adapter driver.

    To do this:

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select
Device Manager from the list of results.
    • In Device Manager, select Network adapters, then click network adapter name.
    • Press and hold (or right-click) the network adapter, and then select
      Update driver
      .
    • Select Search automatically for updated driver software. Follow the steps, then select
      Close.
    • After installing the updated driver, select Start, then click
      Power.
    • Select Restart if you're asked to restart, and see if that fixes the connection issue.
If Windows can’t find a new driver for your network adapter, visit the PC manufacturer’s website and download the latest network adapter driver from there.

    We look forward your response.
