Windows 10: W10 DOWNLOADING 4GB ON METERED CONNECTION!!!!

Though I switched off "automatically download updates" this always happen!!
Installation doesn't work properly a program is corrupted and every time installation starts the pc crashes... I DON'T HAVE TIME TO BABYSITTER THE PC!!!
I DON'T WANT UPDATES DOWNLOADED WITHOUT ASKING SUCKING ALL MY DATA!!! WHO PAYS?
Sorry I'm really furious!!....

How to stop Windows 10 app downloading on metered connections

The Windows Defender firewall does not all you to distinguish between metered and non-metered connections. However, it does allow you to distinguish between private and public connections. If you can safely set you metered connection as private and non-metered connection as public (or vice versa) this will be enough.

To block downloads on Private networks do the following steps:

1. Press the Windows key, search for Firewall and open the "Windows Defender Firewall and Advanced Security"
   
2. Go to Outbound connections (on left pane).
   
3. Find the Netflix entry (or other application you wish to block)
   
4. In the General tab choose "block the connection".
   
5. In the Advanced tab make sure Private is ticked and Public is unticked.
   
6. Press OK.
   

This is a possible workaround rather than a full solution so I will not accept my answer. A perfect answer would work even if both connections were public etc.

My question was not about WiFi. I know how to do that. My question was about WIRED CONNECTIONS. I do not want to use the Registry changes which I am not confident doing. So I want to know that if I do this
Settings/Devices/Check Download Over Metered Connections, will that affect the wired connection making it metered.
