  1. W10 Enterprise downgrade - bxois.sys error

    Hello everyone.

I finished building a new PC a few days ago and decided to go with windows. I had an old win 7 pro license lying around and with a little search I learnt I could use it to activate Windows 10 Pro. The first install went good, it accepted the key and everything. It was only after installing some programs (I think) that I got a BSOD with a bxois.sys error. After some restarts I couldn't get any network at all, even with the Ethernet cable plugged in. No network icon at the bottom either. I had to reset the PC through Windows control panel, only to find out that the version had automatically changed from Pro to Enterprise. Windows aren't activated either, and when I put my licence key they still cannot activate! The worst part is that occasionally I still get the same BSOD with the same bxois.sys error, but this time the Network works fine. Now, after 3 days of continuous troubleshooting I don't know what to do. I give up and need your help.

    Thanks.

Downgrade Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 10 Pro

    Hey Peter, W10 Enterprise downgrade - bxois.sys error :)

As long as you have a W10 Pro license linked to your MSA for that PC, you would be able to use the generic key under step 1 to downgrade from Enterprise to Pro, then let it automatically activate Pro with your digital license.

  3. Downgrade Windows 10 enterprise to Pro

    Hello Mohamed,

Luckily, you can quickly downgrade from Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 10 Pro by just changing the product key to the one for Pro.

If you like, the tutorial below can show you step by step the procedure on how to do this.

    W10 Enterprise downgrade - bxois.sys error

Downgrade Windows 10 Enterprise with key

I know there are ways to downgrade Windows 10 Enterprise to Window 10 Professional with suggestions like this here: Is there a way to downgrade Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 10 Pro?

However, I'm wondering if its just easier to enter a license key! Are there any ramifications to just entering a new license key into Windows 10 and then rebooting to activate Pro and leave Enterprise?

Also I'm aware of Enterprise being installed for a reason due to being installed by IT from a company in question however... doesn't apply here.
