Windows 10: W10 - i'm admin and owner but i cannot access files in my PC

I think the issue started when I connected the HD of the PC as external drive during a new installation of the same PC.I wanted to renew my PC from scratch so I bought a new HD, switched the previous HD with the new one and started to install W10.When I was ready to work I connected to the former HD as an external USB driver to transfer data. I tried to open the document's directory and I got the following pop up:"You don't have permission to access this folder. Click continue to permanently get access to this folder"I clicked on Continue, I got the circled mouse-pointer and I waited. Since

Denied access to a file despite being listed as the owner

I tried to reinstall Origin, and this particular program, and it seems some others on the computer do not allow access at all, either to run or delete. It says access is denied or that permission will be needed. I go into the advanced settings to change
the owner (as elswhere the troubleshooters suggested) and I see that Administrators is already listed as the owner. It's as though the administrator does not even have access to the file. This appears to apply to the entire folder. How can I change the
permission to the file(s) so I can delete/reinstall?

 

W10 can connect to wider internet but cannot access web pages

I have an odd issue with my W10 laptop linked to Sky broadband in the UK via wifi using a Sky router. The effect is that while I can actually access the internet (I can send and receive emails using Outlook and can connect to other machines using TeamViewer) I cannot access any web site (Google, BBC etc). There is no specific error message, merely that the access request timed out and a suggestion that it may be to do with proxy.

I have tried the following:

1. Other systems (W10 and ios) can access web sites using the same Sky router (therefore probably not a router problem)
2. I have sent and received emails using Outlook, so the broadband connection is working (probably not a Sky problem)
3. I have tried two different browsers (Firefox and Edge), no connection (not a browser problem)
4. I am using Windows Defender and have:
   1. Made sure that Firefox is in the list of allowed systems in its Firewall, no connection after a reboot
   2. Turned off the Firewall and tried again - no connection

My next step will be to re-install Windows, but has anyone got any other suggestions? Could it be some sort of virus (I have carried out a complete virus check using Defender)

So - any suggestions?

 

installing adobe dc in admin not owner

I have been trying to open adobe dc which I just downloaded and installed with no problem. however, it will not accept my admin. account name and seems to insist I use owner which someone or thing changed the password. I have tried to delete owner file
with no luck. My new admin. account is listed and when i add password it goes straight to owner again. Please advise.
