Windows 10: W10 never wakes from sleep, I always have to reboot, any ideas?

I'm using a USB mouse & keyboard....under device manager I have both the keyboard and mouse set to have permission to wake the device. It's really annoying, any ideas how to fix this? It's a desktop, not a laptop if that helps. I don't want to use hibernate, I just want sleep to work.

The Question is "W10 Start Menu always up upon waking from sleep"

As someone else said: "Every time my computer wakes up from sleeping, the start menu is showing, which is really
annoying."

GearWorld's reply doesn't address the issue at all.

Is there an answer or is Windows 10 incapable of that simple behavior?

 

Unable to wake from sleep from time to time

i always turn my system off but have sleep after fours set just in case i forget.. for what its worth my system isnt reliable after waking from sleep mode.. i always reboot it if it ever does..

i havnt bother investigating because i never use it.. i used it with my last system but that needed a reboot after several days of sleep mode use.. i just expect occasional problems with sleep mode *Smile

to be honest i dont see much need for sleep mode now we have faster solid state drives..

Computer reboots instead of wakes from sleep

This made no difference. Upon trying to wake the computer, it goes into BIOS. The Windows boot drive is absent in the BIOS boot order list, so I have to turn the computer off, then reboot. Upon booting, any windows that were open prior to sleep are now
closed (i.e., it is a cold boot, not a wake from sleep).
