    W10 Pro - 12 yr old HP DV7 Laptop - Getting BSOD BCMWL664.sys


    Hello,I am a tech w/a good amount of experience. I know the knee jerk easy jump to answer for most including myself would be to say, don't waste the effort, it's a 12 yr old laptop, it's done, replace it. I have already 2 yrs ago purchased a newer laptop and I'm building a desktop currently so I have that option covered. The laptop is not completely 12 yrs old. I have upgraded the RAM, added a 2nd drive and replaced the original 640GB mechanical drive with a 1TB SSD.I enjoy troubleshooting problems. I learn from new problems.     I upgraded my Laptop HP dv7-6185us from W7 to W10, but now can not install my printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium from my disc

    I upgraded my Laptop "HP dv7-6185us" from W7 to W10, but now can not install my printer "HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium" from my disc that came with this printer. Disc tells me my 64bit computer is not compatible with W10. Must I throw away my HP printer.
