Windows 10: W10 Update 22H2 locks up login on Dell Inspiron N5050

The Dell Inspiron N5050 I am updating Windows 10 on has caused a problem every time after it complete the 22H2 update. The update completes, restarts the laptop, but when it goes into the restart process between the Windows screen and the log in screen, the screen goes to black and stays there. I performed a clean installation of Windows 10 after seeing the issue the first time, logged each step, ran the Restore Point tool between major steps and had the same issue ONLY after the 22H2 update installed and restarted.Any ideas why this happens and how to prevent it?

Is there any development with dell inspiron n5050 for the upgradation to windows 10? Already twice I failed. I am afraid, whether I get the opportunity to install W10 in my laptop or not.

Windows 10 on Dell Inspiron N5050 boots to non-existent display

I am helping someone with their Dell Inspiron N5050, which has Windows 10 installed on it. The computer will boot up, but I only get a black screen. I did find, that if I closed the lid, reopened, and press the power button, I will get the login screen, and can use Windows 10 normally. However, you have to repeat this process every time.

I found out that the computer boots to a non-existent display on a hunch. I decided to plug in a second monitor, and got the login screen on that second monitor. I then disconnected the monitor, rebooted, went through the process above, and saw only one display listed in Display Properties. However, when I hit Detect, it listed two monitors.

I did try to fix this with the following:

1. Going into Device Manager, and uninstalling Generic PnP Monitor.
   
2. Disabling the "Quick Restart" option in Power Options > Decide What the Power Button Does.
   
3. Checking BIOS for switchable graphics, but there are no video options in BIOS for this laptop.
   
4. Checking the Intel Display Properties, but found no relevant setting.
   

I've also looked at various forums and guides online, but they seem to suggest the same things as fix #2.
