Windows 10: W10 with 1909 release. 3 PC's and cannot see each other on Network.

When we had HOMEGROUP all was fine with my 3 house hold PC's. 2 laptops and 1 desktop. Since I now again have need to hook up a new NAS I find that the pc's no longer see each other under rel. 1909 and may before but worked fine with HOMEGROUP.


All three PC's have File sharing turned on for PRivate, Public, and ALL. All 2 are on Ethernet and one is Wireless. There is also a ZyXEL NSA attacked via ethernet. All of the adapters have been checked to make sure File sharing is checked. The following is what each on see's on the NETWORK.


PC 1: Under Computers sees: PC 1, 2, 3 and NSA

Under MediaDevices : PC 1, 2, 3 and NSA


PC 2: Under Computers sees : itself PC2

Under MediaDevices sees : None


PC 3: Under Computers sees : Nothing

Under MediaDevices sees : itselfPC3 and NAS and PC1

Will a complete Update be available ? Do You have any idea about the reported errors of 1909 in the startup and the security options ?

While there is no official release date, it is expected that version 1909, will be released approx. on Patch Tuesday in October (2nd Tuesday of October)

If you are already running, that will be downloaded automatically as a cumulative update to version 1903, rather than as a full Feature Update . . .

Otherwise, the release of 1909 will be similar to the 1903 release, it will be a stepped release to compatible devices first . . .etc.

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
