Windows 10: W10 won't work right with DVD drive HP BD MLT UJ240

The cited DVD-ROM drive works fine once recognized by W10. But most of the time I need to eject using the paper-clip insert into the eject button on the drive. Sometimes it'll work okay if I manually spin the disk and then close the drive.

I have a second external USB HDD that I use when I need to use a DVD drive. But I'd like to use the internal drive.

Is there a newer driver for this hardware? I can't find one.... If necessary I will replace the drive, but I hate to do that when it works albeit with much manipulation.

Have upgraded Toshiba Qosmio X500 laptop (Model PQX33A-02G00J) to Windows 10. All good except DVD player does not work.

Can I get a driver for MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ240ES ATA Device

 

DVD’s not recognized by Blu-ray Matshita BD-MLT UJ272Q

Is there an updated driver for Matshita BD-MLT UJ272Q, windows 10 will not read the disk. tried un/re-installing from device manager and still does not read. the operating system shows the hardware/drive (i.e. assigned letter) in explorer but when disc (Bluray,
audio, data) is inserted the system does not recognize it.

Is there a fix?

DIG-79102 BD/DVD WRITER NOT RECOGNIZED BY TOSHIBA SATELLITE GIVES ERROR CODE 10

I have tried various methods and suggestions to get my bd/dvd to be recognized by my toshiba with windows 10. Tried it on my other computer it works fine on windows 7. Even installed firmware for MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ260 bd/dvd on computer and it is still
not recognized and found error code 10 as problem. I also get a flashing USB Storage in my devices and in my Portable Devices I have MTP USB Devices with the yellow triangle . Any other methods or suggestions would be appreciated for a laymen. Thanks.
