    W11: how do i disconnect onedrive from file explorer and then reconnect?


    I'm lost trying to access onedrive files from file explorer following some recent updates. Used to work fine. I can access the files online but it is awkward. I think all I need to do is disconnect the current onedrive connection to file explorer and then re-establish the connection. The problem is all the support articles don't make sense to me. I think this is easy, but I am obviously missing something.

    Disconnect and reconnect File History drive

    Hi David,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    To stop file history using a drive, you can try the steps listed below.



    Ideally, File History will save copies of your files every hour, so disconnecting and reconnecting the backup drive every hour would be a tedious task. However, if you still would like to go for it, you may try the steps listed
    below.



    • Open Settings and go to Update & Security > Backup using File History.
    • Scroll down to Backup to a different drive
      and choose Stop using the drive to disconnect the drive.
    • Later, when you would like to reconnect, go to
      Settings      >
      Update & security>
      Backup>
      Add a drive to reconnect the drive.


    Additional Info: Use File History to backup and restore
    in Windows 10

    OneDrive Personal has disappeared from File Explorer

    I have a OneDrive Personal Account. This used to be listed in the list of files and folders in File Explorer. It still is on my HP desktop running W11, but has disappeared from my W10 HP laptop. I've tried the 'Restore your OneDrive' instructions, but they don't seem to relate to my particular problem, i.e., they seem to be to restore deleted files, etc, not to make OneDrive appear in the folder list in FE.

    [I also have a Office 365 OneDrive from work. That is still listed ok.]
