    W11 Mouse wheel not working in some windows


    I have a new Dell desktop with W11 Pro. On initial boot I created one account using my Microsoft account ID. I created a second account as a local account. On the first account the wireless mouse wheel scrolls in all windows. In the local account it works in Edge but not any of the Settings windows or in the default mail app that comes with w11.I have gone through the usual routine of changing the USB port the mouse is on and also tried uninstalling the mouse driver and rebooting to get it reinstalled. No luck.I then tried opening one drive as a way to connect to the MS account from my local

    Hi,

    There can be numerous causes of the issue that you're having with your mouse scroll wheel speed such as outdated drivers, dirt, damaged cables, and more. To correct such issue, we suggest that you adjust the scroll speed of your mouse wheel using the steps
    below:

    • Click Start > Settings.
    • Go to Devices > Mouse & touchpad.
    • Under Choose how many lines to scroll each time, move the slider to the right to make the speed of your mouse wheel faster.

    With regard to cleaning the inside of your mouse, you have to contact its manufacturer to get proper instructions.

    You can customize your mouse in a variety of ways in Windows. To address your concern, you may adjust the scroll speed of your mouse wheel. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • Click on Start.
    • Go to Settings.
    • Select Devices.
    • On the left pane, click on Mouse & touchpad.
    • Select Additional mouse options.
    • Go to the Wheel tab to adjust the scroll speed of your mouse wheel.

    W11 Mouse wheel not working in some windows

    Microsoft Modern Mouse (Bluetooth) Scroll Wheel not working.

    the scroll wheel on my Microsoft Modern Mouse (Bluetooth) stopped working. I have done all troubleshooting steps: system updates, installed Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse Center, disconnected mouse and reconnected. Nothing has worked yet. Haven't yet tried
    it on a different PC. Don't have another Microsoft PC. Have a MacBook, but not sure the mouse can work on that. Any suggestions?
