Windows 10: W11 System file corruption - unable to reset pc

Recently my W11 PC blue screened with the error message “BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_FILES”, preventing me from booting properly and limiting me to the recovery mode. When this happened I was simply watching YouTube on my computer, shut it off, next time I turned it on it blue screened. I tried everything in order to fix this but nothing worked so I just resorted to resetting my pc via recovery mode. However, regardless of whether or not I choose to keep my files, the system reset consistently reaches 52% and then immediately boots back to the recovery mode with no error message or anything. Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:

• Open WinRAR application in your system.
• Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
• A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
• Now click Open button.
• Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
• Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
• Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
• Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
• WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.

Corrupt Files

I strongly suggest reinstalling Windows because this step will allow the computer to revert to the drivers and refresh system files related to the problem. It's possible that the network device driver is no longer working properly, and the issue with resetting the PC might be cause by corrupted or missing system files.

 

Unable to repair corrupt files causing multiple issues across PC

Hello there, I've been having problems with my PC for the past ~2 weeks with constant mf.dll errors causing crashes with multiple applications, unable to right-click the desktop background, losing options when right=clicking items in windows explorer (like
copy/paste/delete), and what looks like multiple corrupt files. I've tried a number of things to resolve these issues including steps from the following sites:

• Redirecting
• Fix: Right Click Not Working on Windows
• Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files - Microsoft Support

Additionally, I've tried a system restore to a previous version (back to 6/20 before a 2-week vacation I went on), running a PC repair from Outbyte, and lastly a sfc scan which resulted in the "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable
to fix some of them." I have the CBS txt file showing multiple corrupt files but I'm not sure what next steps are to try and repair my system. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated and if any more information is needed please let me know. Thank
