Windows 10: W11 - The RPC Server is unavailable. I can't log in

    W11 - The RPC Server is unavailable. I can't log in


    W11 - When I boot up my computer, the first one only screen says the rpc server is unavailable on a black back ground with a ok button. Because of this I can't log into my computer. When I click on the OK box, I am rerouted back to the screen where it asks me for my pin. Once I enter my pin I get the same thing. . Can someone please point me in the right direction so that I can fix this? Thank you, Michael.

    RPC server unavailable

    This website seems to provide a solution that you can refer to, if this method does not work. Then I suggest you to overwrite your OS.

    The RPC server is unavailable

    As I logged onto my computer this morning a message popped saying "the rpc server is unavailable", I couldn't log into my computer because of this message; however, I pressed the restart button on my pc case and everything worked fine the message didn't pop up and I could actually log in.

    I'm a bit worried as to what the rpc server is and why it was unavailable.

    Does anyone know why this message popped up?

    Have you ever changed the state of any of your services, or chosen to disable any?

    RPC: I have

    I can confirm my Credential Manager starts.


    Observing the cautious preparatory steps prompted by this free tool:

    you might try only selected repairs- there are at least two service- related repairs available.

    You mention firewalls. Are you using any security software besides Windows Defender?
