    Help! GTP partitions not detected.

    I backed up all my data onto a 3TB drive with two partitions. I then upgraded my system and reinstall windows 7. I assumed that the partitions would be recognized and everything would be fine. Turns out that's not the case, I just have the one unallocated block.

    If I make a new volume will all my data be erased?
    If so, how can I recover my data? Is there a free tool?

    Please help *Frown W11Ent_x64 HDD: GTP Protected Partition to GTP Base Partition without loosing data? :(... everything is on there!

    Help! GTP partitions not detected.

    I was really dumb.
    Windows asked me to initialize the disk... I didn't see GPT on the list so I selected MBR.     May be able to backup files with a Linux Live CD as long as it supports EFI GUID partitions.
