Windows 10: W8pro to W10pro.

I have an available W8pro key, this comp was bought with 10Home installed. Is it possible to load 8pro then upgrade to 10pro?

I haven't installed W8 Pro yet - how do I get W10 Pro

Well, I did not get any clear reply to this, and having a bit of time on my hands, decided to install W8Pro, thus hopefully guaranteeing a path to W10Pro when it is released.

Purely for info, I tried the in-palce upgrade from W7 to W8 which at first looked very impressive. Certainly all of my data and programs seemed to have been kept.

Unfortunately, after that I was never able to get Windows Update to work! It kept failing then "reverting" the changes. After trying to fix that for over two days, I went back to a clean install of W8, which is where I am now.

I have two bays/drives HDD (C:/ w10pro 650GB+ T:/ 350GB) +( D:/ 500GB) currently

if take the D:/ out AND IN ITS PLACE put SSD and install W10Pro (same key as C:/ - is upgrade from 8.1 pro needs key???) on SSD

can boot choose on turn on of PC either from C:/ or from SSD???

in other words
dual boot W10PRO ... one key
w10pro.

IF CAN, HOW FIND KEY W10PRO IN CURRENT???

You can use the windows 10 Pro generic product key to trigger an upgrade to windows 10 Pro, the use the Windows 8 Pro product key to activate it.
